Buying real estate in Playa de la Arena is buying a personal place in the eternal summer! The average temperature here is about 25C. The absolute minimum is 14C at night.
Playa de la Arena has a natural beach of black sand and coastal promenade that leads to neighbour towns – Los Gigantes and Alcala. There are two great surf spots called “Las Conchas” and “Punta Blanca” within walking distance from the town.
Playa de la Arena has well developed infrastructure: shops, supermarkets, restaurants, Town Hall office, doctors, public bus, taxis etc. It is a quiet place in general, but gets crowded in summer. Playa de la Arena has very soft and warm weather starting from November till June.
There are two ports (marinas) nearby – port of Los Gigantes and fishing port of Playa de San Juan. There you can keep your boat or hire one, rent jest skis or get sailing classes.
Starting from 2016 Playa de la Arena is undergoing improvements of its roads and public spaces. In 2017 the local Town Hall has began building a new beach in the centre of the town. The main beach also will be reconditioned afterwards.
Playa de la Arena has mostly one or two bedroom apartments. There are also villas and townhouses in the upper part of the town. The most exclusive properties can be found in the neighbourhood called Punta Negra – it is secret area located down by the beach and away from main busy streets.
